How It Works

The LT-DIS uses modern hall effect crank and cam position sensors to accurate determine engine position. It generates accurate LS-based 24x crank and 1x cam signals using a crank-mounted 24x reluctor and a 1x cam reluctor inside the precision-engineered sensing unit that installs in place of the Optispark. The LT-DIS system uses the 24x/1x signals and precisely converts them in real time perfect sync to high and low resolutions "OPTIspark" signals that a optispark originally would have generated. These precisely generated high and low resolution signals are interpreted by your factory PCM as if there was still a optispark on the engine. 

From there the LT-DIS system recieves the ignition signal from the factory PCM. It uses this signal to then properly distribute spark command (and in proper firing order) to individual coil packs via a plug-and-play coil harness, delivering improved ignition energy and reliability. 

Gone are the days of relying on an inadequate optical sensor, rotor distributor, and multiple failures modes that come from such systems. 

Ignition with Intelligence - The LT-DIS goes a step further and incorporates bluetooth connectivity and mobile app. Continuously monitor system data, ignition parameters, and ignition diagnostics. Also incorporated into the dash module is a logic analyzer to view and monitor important signals without need for addtional electronics tools!
