How it works

Upgrading your LT1 to an LS PCM doesn’t have to be complicated.

    Replace the Optispark with the 24x Link Sensing Unit

    Our patented sensing unit installs in its place using the same bolt pattern and location.

    Plug In the LS PCM

    The included 24xLink LS PCM is pre-flashed with a stock LT1 base tune and plugs directly into your factory LT1 engine harness.

  • 3

    Connect the C3 Harness

    The C3 Harness connects the LS PCM to the new Crank and Cam sensors, plus your ignition Coils (if applicable).

  • 4

    Power Up Your Coil-On-Plug System (Works Kit only)

    If you’re using the Works Kit, your coils mount to included brackets and connect to the integrated coil harnesses.

  • 5

    Tune, Diagnose, and Drive

    Once installed, your LT1 engine is now OBD2- compatible and fully controlled by an LS Gen 3 PCM.

FAQ

  • Do I need to modify my engine harness?

    No. The 24xLink LS PCM plugs directly into your stock or standalone LT1 engine harness (1994– 1997). No splicing, cutting, or rewiring required.

  • Will it work with my factory cluster and gauges?

    Yes. Your factory cluster and gauge functions are fully retained. Torqhead has even developed unique electronics that integrate the LCD screen functions on 1994-1996 Corvette dash.

  • Can I use my own tune?

    Yes. You can send us your base tune file (HPTuners format), and we’ll load it onto the PCM before shipping—free of charge. Need a custom tune? We offer that too for an additional fee.

  • What tools or skills do I need to install this?

    If you’re comfortable changing an optispark, changing sensors and mounting brackets, you can install this kit. Basic hand tools are all that’s needed—no fabrication required.

  • Is the LS PCM conversion emissions legal

    No. LS PCM conversions are not emissions legal. They are only to be installed on offroad or racing use vehicles. See product listings and our emissions compliance page for additional details.

  • Can I run this with an aftermarket ECU instead of the LS PCM?

    Yes. Choose the Signal Kit version if you're using a standalone ECU like Holley, FuelTech, or others. It outputs LS-style 24x/1x crank/cam signals.

  • Is there a warranty?

    Yes. All PCM and wiring components come with a 5-year replacement warranty. Signal kits are covered by 2 years and sensors/misc by 1 year. See warranty page for more details. If anything fails, we’ve got you covered.
