Overview

Upgrade your LT1 with Torqhead’s Shallow Body Alternator — a direct-fit replacement for the factory CS144 alternator on 1992–1997 LT1-powered vehicles. Its compact design eliminates the need for valve cover clearance mods, making it easy to fit any Small Block Chevy valve cover, including center-bolt and perimeter-bolt styles (with adapters). It has an output of 140 amps, as as factory CS144.
