How it works

Three steps to modern ignition for your LT.

Torqhead’s kits eliminate OptiSpark and bring coil-per-plug control + modern PCM intelligence — without tearing down your timing cover. Here’s how:

  • 1

    Install the Sensing Unit and crank hub

    Replace the OptiSpark with Torqhead’s crank &
    cam sensing unit. External 24x reluctor and 1x
    cam wheel mount outside the timing cover.

  • 2

    Install ignition COils

    Mount the coil packs neatly with our intake or
    valve cover mounted solutions.

  • 3

    Hook to PCM (LS PCM Conversions Only)

    Connect the harness to the Torqhead PCM. For LS PCM conversions, this means full LS PCM integration and tuning capability.
