The Torqhead Essentials Kit provides the core mechanical and electrical components needed to upgrade your 1994–1997 LT1 engine to LS Gen 3 PCM control. Engine Tune – PCM ships with a stock LT1 conversion tune. You can provide a tuner’s HPTuners base file (we’ll load it free before shipping) or add a custom base tune for $135.
Installation Snapshot:
Replace the Optispark with the 24xLink sensing unit and crank hub with integrated reluctor (no timing cover removal).
Swap in the 24xLink PCM, plug in your existing LT1 connectors, and connect the C3 harness to sensors and coils.
For ’94–’95 vehicles: install the included OBD2 port.
For OBD1 vehicles: replace knock sensors before refilling coolant.
⚠️ ATI Hub Note: The ATI Hub option is only for use with an ATI Racing dampener. If you’re not running one, select the Stock Hub option.
