About TorqHead

modern ignition. CLASSIC POWER

In 2015 we started with the now industry-leading 24xLink system — a plug-and-play LS Gen III PCM conversion designed to eliminate the Optispark and bring full LS-level control to LT1/LT4 engines. A truly great system to maximize the high performance racing LT1 engines out there. But we didn’t stop there...

In response to overwhelming demand for an easier way to eliminate the Optispark without replacing the factory PCM, we developed the LT-DIS. It’s the world’s first true plug-and-play and complete Optispark delete system that retains the stock LT1 computer — no tuning or harness modifications required.

Whether you're after full LS PCM control, or you just want to get rid of the Optispark for good, TorqHead offers a complete range of solutions for your LT1 build.

why we exist

The LT1 engine is a powerhouse — but the Optispark ignition system has always left owners frustrated and widely considered an achilles heel of the LT1. After more than a decade talking with vehicle owners, the pain of dealing with inadequate and costly optisparks is well understood.

At Torqhead, we engineered a better way. Don't just build parts — we build solutions thru innovation. If something dosn't exist....we create it. Mechanical design, eletronics design, and software engineering. Nothing is impossible.

Every product is designed with precision engineering, tested to industry standards, and built to perform without compromise.

Modern ignition. Proven performance. Built to last for LT1.

  • Eliminate the Optispark once and for all

  • Unlock superior performance and rock-solid reliability

  • Install easily with standard tools — no fabrication, no timing cover removal

  • Simplify your build — no repinning, no guesswork, no headaches

We exist to make you fall in love with your LT1 all over again — with smarter ignition, effortless installs, and race-tested performance.

Built by an Enthusiast, for Enthusiasts

I'm Paul de Boer, mechanical designer, engineer, and long-time LT1 owner.

I built the first system in my own garage (2013) — not for profit, but to solve a real problem with my 1996 Impala SS.

When I shared it online, the response was massive. I realized I wasn’t alone — the LT1 community needed better options, solutions that fit, solutions that work, and can be easily implemented. I had the background to build them.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting this platform (and only this platform) with reliable, high-performance solutions. Torqhead has grown as a team and the support from the LT community has been amazing.

What’s next

We believe the LT1 is far from outdated. In fact, it’s just getting started.

From street cars to race applications, TorqHead is here to keep LTx engines alive, relevant, and running better than ever — with new products, ongoing support, and industry-first innovations.
